The Taize monastery in France produces beautiful, chanting melodies that, when repeated, allow a level of contemplation and prayer that is rare.

We aren’t a centuries-old monastery, but we can replicate some of what happens at Taize.

Come, dwell in the music, engage in readings and rituals such as candle lighting. Be still and know the divine.

Themed contemplative Taize-style services are held every approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Examples of themes include the UN World Day of Peace, Transgender Day of Remembrance, Prayers for an End to Racism, Prayers in Remembrance of Those Lost to or Living with Dementia, Prayers in Remembrance of Those Lost to or Living with Cancer, Prayers for Indigenous-Settler Reconciliation, and Blue Christmas. Watch our blog posts, Facebook page, and the Church Chimes E-Newsletter for announcements of upcoming services.
