After two years of no pies due to pandemic restrictions, our Annual Apple Pie Sale is back!

Pies are 2 for $25 (or $12.50 each) Pre-order by Tuesday, October 4 and pick up on Thursday, October 6 between 11 am and 5:30 pm. Don’t miss out on these delicious apple pies you can take home and bake (or freeze for later) for the freshest homemade pie taste you will find anywhere!

The United Nations General Assembly has declared September 21st to be the International Day of Peace; it is to be observed as a day of global ceasefire and non-violence. On the eve of this important day, we will offer our prayers for peace in a Taize-style worship on Tuesday, September 20th at 6 pm. There will be prayers, singing, reading, candle lighting and more. This is a low-technology service and will not be broadcast on YouTube, nor will it use overhead projectors – just old-fashioned hymn books and candle light.

We are delighted to welcome a new person to our ministry team. Cas is joining us as our Summer Student Resource Assistant. This July and August (2022), they will be working on a number of long-overdue projects, as well as some new projects and supporting the visiting staff from Camp Spirit who will be here at the end of August. Welcome Cas!

From August 22-26, 2022 Castlegar United Church is delighted to be hosting Camp Spirit, a week long United Church Day Camp. At Camp Spirit we value listening to and experiencing Sacred Stories, enjoying times of creativity and science, moving to music, sharing a meal together, and fostering community and friendships!
