Fall Workshop Series

Thanks to a grant from Heritage Credit Union we will be hosting a fall workshop series! The first two in September will be presented by “Creating Accessible Neighbourhoods”, a non-profit organization who advocates for inclusive neighbourhoods for those who are often marginalized such as those with disabilities and LGTBQ2SIA.

Gender & Sexuality 101, Thursday, September 2, 2021 6-8 pm
This workshop is about the rainbow alphabet: 2SLGBTQIA+ and ways you can be an ally.
In cooperation with Castlegar Pride

Disabilities Awareness, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 6-8 pm
Gain tools to understand what disability is, the types of disability, the current language of disability, what ableism is, how you can actively work to fight against it, and tips for disabled people and allies alike to better ensure equity in all that you do.
In cooperation with the Kootenay Society for Community Living

On October, we will have a workshop towards Indigenous Reconciliation and a workshop on Mental Health. Details TBA
